Kyle Rudolph is out for the season. This is bad news, but a great chance for other s to shine. Not just for Mike Ragone, but for T.J. Jones, and Theo Riddick. The beauty of the Spread, is that you are able “spread the field.”No matter still wish we had Kyle Rudolph.
5. Health: Kyle Rudolph is out, Armando Allen is a game time decision with a hip flexor. Any other major injury to a key guy and this game becomes pyrrhic. Get the win and get out Healthy.
4. Big Plays: This is the week were we should see big plays. I’m hoping to see a Cierre Wood bust a 60 yard touchdown. I expect to see Manti Teo to cause a fumble and Harrison Smith pick it up and run it in for a touchdown. Would love to see a kick off return for a touchdown. This game should be fun for the lads.
3.Buidling depth: Hopefully the game will be over by mid 3rd quarter. Would like to see Tommy Rees get in and get some quality playing time. It will not be a baptism by fire, it will be a great depth building game.
2. Killer Instinct: We need to learn to put teams away. Against Boston College and Pittsburgh we had a chance to put the game away, and we let them in. This needs to stop now, and poor Western Michigan will be the first.
1. Dayne Crist: I hope to see a complete game from Crist. No hasty decisions, let the game slow down and have him dominate Western Michigan. This game should be a learning experience for him.
