That’s a wrap for 2011 Recruiting
Yesterday both Gary Gray and Mike Ragone have been confirmed as coming back for a 5th year. Gary Gray and Harrison Smith were all but assured, But Mike Ragone might have been a stretch. To put it lightly we are stacked at TE with, Tyler Eifert, Alex Welch, Jake Golic, and incoming Ben Koyack. Ragone was mostly used for two TE sets in which he was used as a blocker. Look at Brian Kelly to use a more of a spread attack next year, when his QB’s have a better grasp of the Offense. This will put Ragone further down the depth chart, with little chance of PT. He might be returning as a Thank You from Kelly. But with Ragone getting a scholly that means that magic number of 85 is closing in on the Irish fast. Irish fans have gotten spoiled this last month with all the commits. But with Ragone coming back, its means that maybe Troy Niklas and Savon Huggins may not be coming to Notre Dame. Or this can mean that some fellas are transferring out, but this is all speculation, and until National Signing Day everything is up for grabs.
