Troy must burn

Wow after all the hoopla and all the hype the game is finally here. Last year when we played sc their was quiet confidence that Notre Dame can go to LA and steal a victory. Now this season Notre Dame has the swagger (the fan base sure does)  and we feel this is going to be an ass kicking of epic proportions. If ND can do these five things than a victory is all but assured!

5. Unleash our Wood and stop their Woods.

Cierre is fast becoming a premiere BCS back. He has the power to run inside and the speed to take it too the house. If sc can’t stop him they can’t stop ND. On the flip side sc has their own Robert Woods. This kid is good were talking west coast Mike Floyd good, hell he even runs like Floyd. Corners gonna have to man up to stop this guy.

 

4. Beat Barkley,

I remember in 2009 when a young Matt Barkley bested our own Jimmy Clausen. (Even though Jimmy never had a defense, and a decent running game.) Ever since that game Barkley’s career has peaked due to injuries and coaching changes. He still has the talent and weapons to  make our night game into a nightmare.  If we pressure Barkley he is prone to make mistakes you make mistakes you lose the game.

 

3. Battle of the trenches.

To put it lightly this is going to be a dog fight. The game (if there are no turnovers) will be won right here. Our boys up front have to give Tommy time and open up the holes. While our boys on D need to manhandle their o- line. It’s football 101 simple as that.

 

2.  Tommy Rees, ND doesn’t need a gun slinger or a field general. Notre Dame needs a game manager that’s get the ball into the play makers hands. If Rees doesn’t do anything boneheaded ND will be on track.
