5 keys to victory for saturday.

1. Above and beyond everything for Notre Dame this year, watch the turnovers. Now matter how well ND plays, they have seen turn overs hand the game over to less deserving teams. Notre Dame has seen a BCS bowl game slip away due to turn overs.

2. Run the ball. Notre Dame has a run game that is actually hard for teams like Wake Forest to stop.  Wake does not have the athletes on the Dline to stop a consistent attack at the middle of their line. Run the ball well and Notre Dame can help their beleaguered quarterbacks cut down on INTs.

3. Defend the pass. Wake Forest’s best player is Tanner Price their stand out QB. He threw for 3 INTs last week against a North Carolina defense that does not match ND. He does not normally throw that many picks, so there is a chance they can catch him in a bad spot with back to back poor games.

4. Put on the pressure. Wake Forest’s own website claims this is the most important home game in their schools history. This team has never truly played in a big game in a down on their luck Notre Dame team coming into town is the most important game ever. Thats pressure that a team inflicts on itself when it brags about such things. If Notre Dame can get up early their crowd will give up, and Wake Forest will be reeling and waiting to be knocked out.

5. Watch Chris Givens. He leads the ACC in receiving, Tanner Price loves feeding this guy. He should be double teamed the entire game. There is no excuse for this young man to ever get single coverage. North Carolina held him to his worst game of the season, and low and behold Tanner Price threw 3 interceptions. Do the math. Please double team Chris Givens.
