Trials of NCAA ’13
I’m really not that into video games. I have never been a gamer and my PS3 is mostly used for streaming movies. But I bit the bullet and bought NCAA 13 to see what the big fuss is all about. Here is recap of my first online experience playing NCAA 13
Pre Game I pick Notre Dame at home he picks Texas. The trash talking starts right away and he informs me all the crazy things he did with my mother last night.
I lose the toss and I recieve were George Atkinson runs for 30 yards and gets destroyed, but hey at least he did not fumble.
1st quarter
4:55 I figured that we need to establish a running game so I call for a power run . Cierre wood gets hammered at the line of scrimmage for a 5 yeard loss.
4:54 I decide to pull a Charlie Weis and abandone the Run game.
4:15 Well lets go to my star TE and I throw the ball over Eiferts head and he quickly gets the INT
4:12 He get his first pick six of the game. He then shouts out “You suck balls homey”
4:11 I realize I’m playing a 15 year old.
Texas 7- Notre Dame 0
Kick off goes for a touch back.
4:10 A quick pass to Roby Toma nets me three yards I jump for joy.
3:45 I decide to go short again he is ready and “almost gets a pick six”
3:45 Screw it I go for a QB draw (Golson is the QB he is a scrambler right?) I get my first first down.
3:10 I go Wild cat and get 9 yards making it 2nd a 1 when its 2nd a 1 the book tells you to go deep.
2:55 Second INT of the day here comes the defense.
2:50 I control Nix thinking I will just dominate their whole O-Line!
2:25 He goes deep for a 40 yard touchdown!
2:24 He feels sympathy for me and says ” Damn fool you sorry”
Texas 14 ND 0
Second Touchback of the game.
I return to the run game three and out but least the first quarter is finished.
2nd quarter
5:00 I muff the punt putting him in great field position.
4:50 He runs a screen that only Manti Teo can save.
4:20 Runs the screen again for a touchdown.
Texas 21- ND 0
I return the kick off to the 25 and Atkinson get hammered again.
4:10 Three and out one pass two runs and I’m really missing Call of Duty
2:00 Second Muff punt, but he fails to capitalize.
1:30 The computer feels sorry for me and as luck would have it Danny Spond gets a pick six!!!
Texas 21- ND 7
My friend confirms that the computer is helping me and calls me a “female dog”
Halftime
He runs the kick off all the way back !!
Texas 28- ND 7
“Calls me a sorry fool again”
4:30 Everett Golson gets knocked out of the game with a broken leg.
4:29 Andrew Hendrix Throws a pick six.
Texas 35- ND 7
This is when offered me a mercy killing were I lose the game. I decide to take it due to the fact it was not fun anymore. I’m debating to return the game and stick with call of duty!!!
